James 'Clowesie Clowes Club/ Team: Solent Boccia Club How long have you been involved in boccia?: 15 years Competition Highlights: BC2 National Champion in 2013, Silver at the UK Boccia Championships in 2019, Silver in the BE Cup Finals in 2023 Hobbies or Interests outside of boccia, or interesting fact: I am the Director of Star Support For You LTD, where I assist clients to find care staff as well as producing graphic designs for clients. I have a season ticket at Portsmouth Football Club and go to every home game. I also enjoy going to the theatre, exploring new cities through cruises. I have a cruising Youtube channel (Clowes's Cruising Chronicles) where I show the accessibility of each cruise that I go on. I joined a club, entered my first competition and won my first medal just a few weeks later at the northwest regionals. Competition Highlights: Gold, Tatra Cup 2023. Gold, Boccia UK Challenger 2023. Gold, BE Cup Crawley 2023. Silver, Boccia UK Challenger 2022 Hobbies or Interests outside of boccia, or interesting fact: I'm a natural sciences student with the Open University, just starting what if I was studying full time would be my third year of study. I’m doing what is mostly a biology degree with bits of environmental sciences thrown in. I also love computer games, reading, and getting out in the countryside with my partner when we can.
