NEW BOCCIA LEADES AWARD LAUNCHING 1ST APRIL 2020.

AIM

This course introduces the necessary skills and knowledge required to deliver boccia within the community.  The course is designed to cover the basic and essential elements of officiating and leading boccia.

OUTCOME

  • Introduce and teach the game of boccia to understand and interpret the basic rules.
  • Provide the tools to lead and facilities boccia activities and skills 
  • Teach basic skill practices to players.
  • Introduce creativity and fun sessions.
  • Have an understanding of the existing competitive structures to enable individuals to progress in the sport.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The minimum age to attend the course is 12 years old. The course is suitable for school students, teachers, community workers, leaders and individual players including those involved with:

  • Schools
  • Residential homes
  • Sports clubs
  • Schools
  • Active Partnerships

DURATION

3-hour course (primarily practical)
Onward voluntary activity to achieve Bronze (5 hours), Silver (10 hours) and Gold (15 hours) award status if desired.
