Eight of the finest teams from around the country descended on Stratford-upon-Avon on Saturday 26th November for the first fixture day in the 2022-23 Super League season.

There will be three fixture days throughout the season, with teams playing three matches a day. Our Super League season concludes with Finals Day taking place alongside the National League Finals Day at University of Nottingham, David Ross Sports Village on Sunday 16th July 2023.

The Finals Day will see all eight Super League teams compete together in play off matches for the Super League Trophy. These fixtures will be based on the final league table standings. The losing quarter-finalists will then play off for the Super League Plate where the winners continue to play off for the Super League Trophy.

The new season got off to a flying start with all teams playing competitive and high-level boccia. As always, the games were played fairly and in good spirits.

When asked how Solent University found their first experience of the Super League, coach Barry Bowden told us:

“We were happy with the results today. The new format is good and we look forward to the next round in Brentwood.”

Standings after day 1 are as follows:

We would like to thank Stratford Leisure Centre for hosting the first day in our new season as well as all the teams and supporters for creating a great atmosphere.

We would also like to thank our team of volunteer officials for their assistance and work throughout the day.
