Event Assistants needed for set up

Boccia England is recruiting paid Event Assistants to support occasional competition set up around the country.

This role is paid at £50 per competition set up and usually takes place on a late Friday or Saturday evening for up to 3 hours / until the event set up is complete. Existing knowledge of boccia is useful, but not essential.

We are ideally recruiting those local to the events and the role involves…

  • Assisting the wider Boccia England staff team with all elements of competition/event set up.
  • Unloading of competition equipment from the event a vehicle into the sports hall.
  • Carrying, lifting and positioning of boccia equipment into the sports hall.
  • Marking of boccia courts.
  • Setting up event signage, banners, and other promotional displays.
  • Setting up general competition equipment to include, TV screens, boccia equipment, registration desk, etc.

  • Sunday 22nd March 2020
    Heathcoat Durham
    The Graham Sports Centre Durham University, Maiden Castle, The Graham Sports Centre, Stockton Road, Durham, DH1 3SE
    6.30 am -08.30 am Sunday morning.
    2 assistants required.

  • Friday 3rd April 2020
    BE and Heathcoat Gloucester
    University of Gloucester Sports Arena, University of Gloucestershire Oxstalls Campus, Oxstalls Lane, Longlevens, Gloucester, GL2 9HW
    19.30-22.00 Friday evening
    2 assistants required.

  • Friday 10th July 2020
    National / Super League Finals
    David Ross Sports Village, Beeston Lane, Nottingham, NG7 2RD
    Time TBC
    2 assistants required
