On 7th and 8th March Jabe Peake, Caroline Robinson, Reshad Seraj, Jason Rolph, Matt Berry, and Penny Froude battled it out against the UK's finest boccia players at the Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre in Scotland.

The tournament produced some good quality games across multiple disciplines.

Matt Berry of the England Squad called day one, a “fantastic day against the best players in Great Britain”.

Our athletes were supported by England Squad Coaches, Sandra King, Bob Lathbury, and Lauren Kianchehr.

Lauren, who was also doubling up as Referee for the event said it was, “great to see some high level boccia and our home nation players competing against the best players in GB".

Reshad Seraj won the highest placed BC1/2 Pathway Player and Matt Berry won the highest placed BC3 Pathway Player.

Reshad, who beat David Smith in a closely contested match, also won the Coaches Award which was presented by Claire Morrison.

Penny Froude came third in the BC4 competition, narrowly missing out on becoming the highest placed pathway player to Scotland's Fiona Muirhead.

All the brilliant officials were presented with chocolate bunnies at the end of the competition to say thank you!

Congratulations to our very own Competition Manager, Rachael Crack, who has been supporting Boccia UK in developing the hugely successful Challenger events.
