Established in 2016, National Boccia Day is our annual celebration of boccia which aims to raise awareness of the sport across the country.

The theme of this year’s National Boccia Day, which will be celebrated on Wednesday 27th September, is Bringing People Together Through Boccia.

To mark this National Boccia Day 23, we will be supporting our incredible network of Boccia England Member Clubs to deliver local National Boccia Day Festivals. These are open to anyone to attend regardless of ability or previous boccia experience, and will bring people together from clubs, groups, schools and organisations in 7 areas across the country to celebrate our fantastic sport.

The details of the local National Boccia Day Festivals are as follows:

  • Kent - Kings Sports Hall, Rochester, ME1 3QJ on Wednesday 20th September at 11am – 2PM
  • Surrey - YMCA East Surrey, Redhill, RH1 6JJ on Saturday 30th September at 12 Midday – 5PM

And, as has become tradition in recent years, we will be running fun online competitions in the days leading up to National Boccia Day providing you with a chance to win a limited edition National Boccia Day t-shirt. Be sure to like Boccia England’s Facebook page and turn on notifications to be the first to know about these competitions.

We will also be re-activating our National Boccia Day Facebook profile picture frame from the middle of September and will be asking you to share photos of yourself holding up our NBD 23 posters with the hashtags #NationalBocciaDay & #NBD23, and tagging in @BocciaEngland.
