In October 2020, membership for all existing members was extended for a year as a result of the ongoing impact of Covid-19 limiting boccia activity.

To support our members and to reflect the ongoing restriction of activity and impact of Covid-19, a discount of 30% has been applied to the price of the 2021-2022 membership.

As we approach a new membership year with restrictions easing, our priority is the recovery, renewal and retention of existing members.

We have focused on improving the benefits of membership for this year.

From the 2020 Big Boccia Survey we know the following information:

• 13% of players are not aware of the membership benefits.
• People take part in boccia to ‘be part of something’.
• Suggested improvements given include: more competitions and opportunities to play, more courses,  specific benefits dependent on role.

In response to this, our membership offer has been refreshed for 2021-22:

1. Introduction of a new "BE part of it" membership brand. To help make our members feel part of a community they can identify with.
2. Improved presentation and delivery of existing benefits to add value.
3. New benefits introduced. Seven new benefits have been added, including opportunities for networking and priority access to courses.
4. Improved communication of these benefits throughout the year. We will improve the way we communicate and explain the benefits.

The membership renewal option on bocciabase will fully open on 22^nd September. The season will run from 1^st October 2021 until 30th September 2022.
