On 19 July all legal restrictions were removed as the country moved to step 4 of the Government’s roadmap.

Despite this, when Boccia England set out the roadmap for boccia, it was agreed that specific guidance with suggested recommendations for safe activity would exist beyond the lifting of national restrictions. This is primarily due to participant risk factors, to allow us to be confident in preparing for safe boccia activity for our community as we monitor the ongoing situation, and from the insight we have gained from you taking part in our Back to Boccia surveys.

From Tuesday 1st February, Boccia England plans to move to stage 4 of the Back to Boccia Roadmap.

We will be making some slight adjustments to our club and group guidance to reflect recent changes to government requirements for testing and isolation, as well as updating our FAQs. We are continuing to maintain covid-19 protocols to reduce the risk as much as possible in the delivery of events and competitions.

Back to Boccia Roadmap

We appreciate that for much of our community many challenges remain, and we will continue to do what we can to support your return to the court. We will continue to update and provide guidance, resources, and drop-in sessions so please use the Back to Boccia Hub and get in touch with us if you need support.

The following Club and Group recommended guidance has been updated and outlines what step 4 of the government roadmap means for boccia.

Club and Group Guidance

Whilst all legal restrictions are removed, we hope you will continue to plan and deliver activity with our guidance in place. This will minimise the risk to all individuals involved and will provide reassurance to those anxious about returning.
