Tips, advice and guidance on how to keep or get active in and around your home. Join the Movement and use #StayInWorkOut to share how you're getting active during this time.

You might be worried about coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it could affect your life. This may include having to stay at home and avoid other people. This might feel difficult or stressful. But there are lots of things you can try that could help your wellbeing.

Activity Alliance

During this testing time, we remain committed to ensuring disabled people can be and stay active. So, while you can't go to your favourite weekly exercise class or make a splash at the local swimming pool, there's lots of ways you can enjoy being active. We have compiled a list of exercise advice, workouts, videos and activity guides to support disabled people to move more while at home.

#ThisIsPE Activity Cards

Each #ThisIsPE secondary PE activity comes with a downloadable learning card, which outlines what space and equipment is needed; learning outcomes, both physical and personal; guidance in how to adapt the activity to make it harder and easier and some questions to consider whilst the activities are being done. All of the activities below are specifically designed for special schools.

WheelPower  believe that lives can be transformed through sport and physical activity and today we are launching this set of Yoga videos to encourage wheelchair users to exercise from the comfort of their homes. The benefit of continuing exercise at this time is now of even greater importance and we would really appreciate it if you could share these videos with your wider networks.

Boccia Bonanza Lockdown League

The competition begins on Monday, where the first Station will be live and all players will have one week to practice the skill, submit their scores and film their creative boccia playing. Bonus points will be awarded for the best videos. These can be submitted on social media or via the upload function on the online score submission. The League is open to everybody and you do not need a set of boccia balls to play. Feel free to adapt and throw anything suitable at a target.

All players and scores will be displayed on the website and we will keep a running tally over the next six weeks.
