What a day! It was a busy but very fun day at the Lord's Taverners school final competition yesterday at the EIS Sheffield.

The event saw a whopping 18 schools compete in teams in the Physical disability and PAN competitions. All of the schools taking part performed fantastically to make it through to the finals, but there could be only one winner. Despite the fierce competition Angmering managed to defend their title as Physical Disability Champions for a third year running! In the PAN competition Orleans Park from London took home the gold medal.

The finalists are:

Silver - St Georges Academy

Bronze - Thomas Wolsey

We had 8 young officials trained to Level 1.  They were out on court yesterday putting their new skills to practice with the help of experienced Boccia England officials. Well done to our Young officials in passing- we look forward to working with you in the future at many Boccia England events to come!

If all that excitement wasn't enough we also had a number of special awards to give out.

The lucky winners of these are:

The Jean Ratcliffe Award - Alisha Craigie - West

Young Official of the year - Caitlin Parfrey - West

Pan Disability Player of the year - Ava Wilson - North East

Thank you to all athletes who competed and to our team of officials and young officials for all your hard work.….until next year when we look forward to doing it all again!
