In February the government set out a roadmap for easing Covid-19 restrictions. Step 3 of the government’s roadmap includes the reopening of organised indoor adult sport, no earlier than 17 May. This date is subject to change if requirements are not met and will be confirmed on the 10 May by the government. In response to this, Boccia England has set our Back to Boccia roadmap which we are pleased to share with you and can be downloaded here -

Boccia England’s Covid-19 Working Group continue to monitor the situation and the Back to Boccia roadmap will be subject to change as necessary. Changes will be communicated on our website, through social media and directly to members.

Over the coming weeks we will be publishing updated guidance for clubs and groups and updating our FAQ document on the Back to Boccia web page. We will also share information about Back to Boccia sessions you will be able to attend online in May and June to support your return to boccia. We will be restarting the Boccia England Sense Check Survey towards the end of April to build our understanding of players’ and volunteers readiness to return, helping to shape the rollout of our roadmap so please keep checking the website for updates.

While we will be delighted to see boccia back soon, it is important to stress that we recognise individuals will return to activity when they are comfortable to do so, when restrictions are lifted.

Thank you for your support and patience. More guidance will follow in the coming weeks to help you prepare to restart activity.
