The aim of this course is to provide individuals with a detailed and in depth understanding of boccia rules / officiating, and equip delegates with the knowledge and skills to competently officiate at national level competitions.

  • The course is a mixture of theory and practical. Pre reading will be circulated at least 1 week prior to the start of the course. A written assessment will be completed at the end of day 2 of the course and a practical assessment will take place at the attached competition (Heathcoat Cup Finals).


  • The Award is open to officials who currently hold a National Level Award or a Level 2 Award in Officiating Boccia.
  • Suitable for delegates over the age of 18.


Venue: Warwick University, Warwickshire, CV4 7EU.
Course: Friday 24th April 2020 (16.00-21.00) and Saturday 25th April 2020 (09.00-18.00).
Practical Assessment: During Heathcoat Cup Finals (Sunday 26th April 2020).
Course capacity: 10 people


  • £50 per person payable ahead of the course. Plus any additional travel / accommodation / subsistence expenditure at your own cost. Assuming you are volunteering and therefore being practically assessed at the Heathcoat Cup Finals, your travel expenses will be covered through the event and accommodation for the competition arranged as usual.


  • Bring a packed lunch if possible. Wear comfortable sportswear and bring writing / note taking equipment.
