Chair: Mark Gannon

We are delighted to announce the successful appointment of Mark Gannon as our new independent Chair of the Board, following a thorough search and recruitment process undertaken by Perret Laver. Mark said of his appointment, “I am delighted to be joining a great team who look after boccia in England. Boccia can be played by everyone, but it also has the power to truly change the lives of people with physical disabilities. A truly inclusive activity and sport for all, it can connect families, friends, and communities where everyone can participate.

Vice-Chair: Janie Frampton

Janie has a wealth of experience in the sporting sector having operated across both national and international football.  She is a keen Ambassador for women in sport and has previous experience of developing positive stakeholder relationships.  She has held several Chair positions and has worked with numerous National Governing Bodies in the past.

Treasurer & Senior Independent Director: Owen Watson

Owen is a qualified accountant with experience in the sports sector and previous Board experience as Treasurer.  He has executive level experience working on strategic commercial financial analysis and taking the lead on financial contracts.

Independent Director: Dan Newton

Dan is a Development Director with over 15 years' experience as a sports development professional, supporting county sports partnerships and national governing bodies at a local regional and national level.

Independent Director: Chris Lee

Chris is a Chartered Certified Accountant with experience across a range of sectors including sales, retail, property, social care and health & fitness.  As well as an in depth knowledge of finance, Chris has experience as a Company Secretary and as a Trustee.

Director: Lauren Templeton

Lauren has a wealth of experience as a sports development professional, including supporting the development of training courses and funding bids, strategic involvement in England Netball and as  disability sports officer. 

Lauren is a Boccia Leaders' Award and Young Officials' Award tutor and was a Gamesmaker for boccia at London 2012.

Player Advocate: Dan Bentley

Dan Bentley is the Players' Advocate for Boccia England and he sits on the Board to ensure that the individual and collective views of players are represented.
