Rules and Guidelines

Teams and Pairs will use guidance from the BISFed Competition Manual and follow the BISFed Rules

Registration

Registration will be at 9:30am.  If you are not on the first round you can phone in to register on 07824 317993, please ensure you do this by 9:30am. Your coach can register your whole team/pair if all players are on site.

Classification

Classification assessments are taking place on Friday 13th December in 'Hall D' and observations on Saturday 14th December. Those being classified have been notified of an appointment time. The Classification Athlete Information can be seen here.

Warm up courts

There will be warm up courts available in 'Hall C'. These will open Saturday at 8:30am and Sunday at 8:00am.

Equipment Checks

There will be no equipment checks before the competition. However, there will be random checks carried out in the call room. The Head Referee has the right to check your equipment at any point in the competition.

Call Room procedure

We will be using a call room for all matches. The call room will be located in 'Hall C'. If you have a match scheduled immediately after a match please still go to the call room - the Head Referee will make and inform you of the necessary adjustments. 

Competition layout

There will be 5 match courts in 'Hall D'.

In 'Hall C' there will be the call room, 2 x double-sided warm up courts and an area for equipment storage (this area will not be controlled so any equipment should be left your own risk)

Catering

There is a cafe on site which is open 07:00 - 22:00.

Accessibility

The venue has a Changing Places facility as well as numerous accessible toilets. For more information on the venues accessibility click here.

Car Parking

The car park is free to park in and provides accesible parking bays. If the car park is full there is alternative parking on the access road and across the road, this map will help you locate alternative parking.

Medals and Trophies

Teams and Pairs 2019 Medals and Trophy

The winning Team/Pair from each class will receive a trophy along with gold medals. Medals will be awarded for silver and bronze positions.

Academy Trophy

Individuals will accrue 1 point for each match they win which contributes towards their Academy total. This will be tallied throughout the competition and divided by the number of players who have entered from that academy. Teams/Pairs will receive a further 3 points for their academy if they win the match by 3 or more points.

Rachel Morgan Memorial Trophy

This Trophy is awarded to the winning BC3 Pair in memory of Rachel Morgan.

How to enter

Teams and Pairs is an invite only competition, players will receive an invite email to confirm their intention to compete.

Players will then need to log on to their BE account via Boccia Base and pay the entry fee to confirm their entry into the competition.

Fees

Competition entry costs are £25 per player.
